Colortrac SmartLF Gx 42  ValueJet MFP

Phoenix, AZ - March 2009- Mutoh America Inc., a globally recognized leader and manufacturer of large format commercial inkjet printers and GEI WideFormat, a Visual Edge Technology Company, announced today that they have bundled the popular Colortrac SmartLF  Gx 42 scanner with  Mutoh’s ValueJet 1304-54” printer to create a new Multi-Functional Printer (MFP) specifically designed for brilliant, commercial, outdoor-durable wide format prints.

“Finally, high speed color scanning, copying and outdoor printing with exceptional image quality is possible with an MFP that fits easily into any space, with no ventilation required.” said Roger Ilgen, President and General Manager, GEI WideFormat.

“The Colortrac Gx 42 ValueJet MFP Scan to Print System is an affordable all-in-one solution that sign makers have been asking for!” said Randy Rickert, General Manager, Mutoh America. “Now you can scan in local utility maps, topography maps, A/E/C documents, etc, and not have to worry about laminating them to protect them from the environment.”

Colortrac SmartLF Gx 42 wide format scanners are combined with the ValueJet 1304-54” eco-solvent printers and a unique, “repro-stand” to create a turn key system that consists of a wide format scanner, printer, desktop computer, monitor, keyboard and mouse. Also included is a comprehensive suite of software applications, a versatile, multi-functional system with a compact footprint was created for high speed outdoor sign and banner production using new, Eco-Ultra inks.

The Colortrac Gx42 ValueJet MFP has state-of-the-art features including Colortrac’s advanced imaging system, CCD Technology that provides high resolution scans with a wide color gamut. Also included is Mutoh’s patented Intelligent Interweave Print Technology (i2): Its increased accuracy and consistency of dot-to-dot contact improves the printed images with colors that pop and virtually no banding!

Scan width is a 42” image area, print width is 54” and because it employs the most updated generation of eco-inks, prints last up to 3 years outdoors without lamination.
